Tyler Schlesier, Camp Director

Michael Sabine, Property Manager

Tyler grew up attending and later volunteering in the NYS camp system where he first discovered his passion for environmental stewardship. This experience led him to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Conservation Management at Paul Smith’s College. During his time there, Tyler honed his skills in outdoor experiential learning, which he is eager to bring to Camp Little Notch. With certifications in NYS Guides License, Wilderness First Aid, and Swift Water Rescue, Tyler is well-versed in risk management and leadership. He is excited about this new opportunity and looks forward to embracing the unique challenges ahead.

Michael has been an outdoorsperson his entire life - hiking, biking and camping. Biking across the country truly broadened his perspective of this wonderful land we are blessed to live in.

Building on his passion for the outdoors, Michael worked as a maintenance person for a ski lodge in Aspen, Colorado. He also has many years of camp maintenance experience - first as the Director of Maintenance at Camp of the Woods in Speculator, NY and then, as Maintenance Supervisor at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, Colorado. Currently, in addition to being Property Manager for CLN, Mike is also a Sales Manager at Southwest Technologies.

He loves the camp experience for what it can do for people of all ages, and he’s excited to be at Camp Little Notch to help foster growth in all who visit it.
